9/24/11 – Featured in THE WILD WEST SHOW Group.

This old truck was abandoned on the road to the gallows in Bannack State Park (Montana, USA). My husband places the year of its production to between 1900 and 1915. The state of Montana has left any garbage from the 19th and early 20th century laying and one of the park rules is that visitors can’t touch it either.

Heck of a time and place to get stranded and break down. Cwertainly a telling tale of history left behind. Better not touch it. Great shot.

  • Thanks, Barb! It is tempting to touch the things that the settlers left behind, but we stayed back. I think it’s fascinating to compare their garbage, which wasn’t much, with the things that we throw away.
