Brian and Jimmy went on a camping trip last weekend, hiking miles up into the Swan Mountains overlooking Swan Lake and Swan Valley, which lie about 20 south of Big Fork, Montana. About halfway to their destination, Brian stopped to give us this view. The mountains in the background are part of the Mission range. Flathead Lake lies on the other side of those mountains. Brian was standing on the edge of the Bob Marshall Wilderness when he took this photo.
Swan Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Montana and is relatively untouched since the white man first came here. There are a few cabins on the lake that date back to the 19th century.
I’m entering this in the A Nice View challenge in the Point, Shoot & Don’t Alter group.
