This is the view looking west across Whitefish Lake to Lion Mountain, so named because it looks like a sleeping lion. Around the middle is where my husband grew up. His dad had bought 100 acres of land there, but his widowed mother ended up selling all of it over the years. Lion Mountain is now the site of multimillion dollar homes, many of them sitting on the family homestead.
Whitefish was just a winter resort when I moved here in the 1970’s, but it now has more tourists in the summer.
Photo taken at our family reunion on July 9, 2011, with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera. I’m entering this in the Summer Fun challenge hosted by the Your Country’s Best group.
