I took this out the window of Shaun’s car as we were traveling over Snoqualmie Pass on our way to Seattle, Washington (USA) last Fall. The closest town is Cle Elum, to the west. I was struck by the beauty of the mountains and the forest surrounding this lonely ranch. Snoqualmie Pass cuts through the Cascade Range.
In spite of being in the middle of nowhere, it looks like the owners have all the modern conveniences, if you overlook the small outhouse in front.
I’m entering this in the Lonely Ranch Houses challenge in The Wild West Show group.
Photo taken in October, 2010 with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera. Photo adjustments were made in Photoshop CS. I added a bicolor filter to bring out the contrast between the autumn colors and the blues of the sky and mountains.
