I’ve always loved this sign and seen it as a touch of class in an unusual place. Erected in 1895, some unknown artist crafted this out of metal. Signmaking used to be an art in this country, a way to get a message across without cluttering up the community.
NOTE: There are actually 5 large trees on this sign, but the two trees on the outside are thickened in this shot with the trees in the background.
This was taken May 14, 2011, at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls, Montana (USA), with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera. The only postprocessing done was levels and contrast adjustment in Photoshop CS.
I’m uploading this for the Silhouettes challenge in the Creative, Talented and Unknown group.
