Made in UltraFractal 5 with a Rudy’s Cubic Julia. Finishing touches were added in Photoshop CS. I owe a special thanks to Fiery-Fire, who showed me how to make fractal flowers, using the Orbit Traps Gradient (UF5) algorithm in dmj5. Before that, I had always used the standard Orbit Traps coloring, which is very limited for flowers.

Whenever times get really rough, it would be wonderful to have the comfort that we remember from our childhood, when our mother would hug and kiss us. No matter how bad the hurt, for a moment it felt like everything would be better.

Here’s to all the mother’s out there. I hope that you find the appreciation that you deserve, for all your love and sacrifice. Happy Mother’s Day!

this is better than spring flower photos. i really like the movement. i’m guessing you’re imagining the childhood comfort a mother could bring. i’d say more but i’m being overcome with some memories of all those years ago.

  • LMAO! You have to remember that I was fortunate to have Rosemary as a stepmother, so I had some good memories to fill the void made by our absent mother. Rosemary was a lot better to Brian and me than we deserved.
