5/19/11 – Featured in the PACIFIC NORTHWEST PHOTOGRAPHY & ART Group.

This unusual home is located behind the administrative buildings at Fort Worden in Port Townsend, Washington (USA). I have always loved the contrast between the architecture in this, compared with the Victorian homes on the rest of the base and in town.

Fort Worden was built in the 1890’s to protect Puget Sound from invasion. It had several cannons set up near the lighthouse. This is where the movie, “An Officer and a Gentleman” was filmed.

I’m uploading this for the Unusual Architecture challenge in the Preserving History group. Photo taken in October, 2010 with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera.
