I love this street, with the snow covered Victorian homes. It’s like walking into one of those Christmas snowglobes, especially when it is snowing. The white glow in the sky was the sun, trying to burn its way through the clouds.

This is part of the Kalispell Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Kalispell is located on the southwestern corner of the Flathead Valley in Montana (USA). Most of these homes date back to the 1880’s and were built by the founders of this city.

Photo taken by Kathleen Emerson with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera. I edited this in Photoshop, playing with the contrast and sharpening it, to make it look more like a Christmas card. The original looked more like this:

Very beautiful house and pretty snow on the trees. Great shot. I hope you are doing well and that Chris is doing much better. Sending Love N Hugs Bingo!

  • Thank you very much, Bingo! The new antibiotics they gave him seem to be working better than the old ones. He managed to get some sleep this morning. Fortunately, it’s a bacterial infection rather than viral. I’ve heard that viral pneumonia is really nasty and there’s not much they can do for it except wait for it to run its course.

  • Thank you very much for this honor! I’m sorry for the late reply. The flooding in this area has messed up my internet connection.
