Ann and Andrew are inventing their own game at Andrew’s birthday party. He really did think the balloons that were decorating the party were the best presents. I love watching Ann around children, because she has never lost that sense of wonder about everything. She is so petite and full of fun that she blends in with them. Kids flock to her like a female Pied Piper.

I love watching Ann when she interacts with children. I keep hinting about what a great mom she would be. She does want kids of her own, but she wants to finish her doctorate and get her license to practice in Montana first. She’s more practical than we were.
