Today I am thankful for warm weather in October! We just spent a wonderful weekend camping out in our favorite spot, across the Flathead River from Glacier National Park. It was sunny and warm yesterday, rained last night, and then warmed up for the day. I love Indian Summer! This photo was taken at the end of last year’s Autumn, which usually closes with snow on Halloween.
This is the view behind the apartments that are across the street from us. This is about as colorful as Autumn gets here. We basically have two seasons in northwestern Montana: Hot, when everything is green and Cold, when everything is green and covered with snow. That’s Columbia Mountain in the background, part of the Rockies, and it divides the Flathead Valley from the Hungry Horse Reservoir.
