This was the last decent picture I was able to take on our trip to the Veteran’s Cemetery last week. I don’t have a tripod and my hands aren’t steady enough for taking long exposure shots. I knew the tracks ran next to the cemetery, but it was a bit of a walk, past many other interesting scenes. Brian and I kept passing the camera back and forth to each other, waiting impatiently for our next chance to use it. We only had about ten minutes of light left to share.
These tracks run through the middle of our neighborhood, but we’ve only had to wait at the crossing once time, in the five years that we have lived here. This view looks south toward Flathead Lake. The mountain on the right is the western edge of Kalispell.
Taken in October, 2010 with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera.
