Made in Photoshop CS, from a photo I took last Spring. I have been spending more time offline lately, trying to put together some calendars as Christmas gifts. I started out with the idea of using the photo for October, but I accidentally discovered this wonderful ghostly effect when I was playing around with the contrast. I then added layers and other filters. I used the Redfield bas-relief filter to give the tree some extra detail, blending that layer with Soft Light and turning the opacity down to around 15 percent. I then sharpened the image slightly to bring out the detail of the branches more.
Original photo taken with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera.
Please take the time to look at this in full view, as details and color have been lost in the preview size.
