I took this photo in Autumn of 2009, in Glacier National Park, Montana (USA). It has been sitting idle on my computer since then because I didn’t like the color, which was a slime green. It wasn’t a very pleasant monochrome image. I decided to try converting it to black and white to see if I could rescue it.
This was shot along the Avalanche Creek Trail, which follows the creek to Avalanche Falls. It eventually loops back, through the cedar trees, to the main Going-to-the-Sun Highway.
I’m uploading this for the Black and White challenge in the Cee’s Fun Artsy Friends group.
Photo taken with a Nikon CoolPix P80 camera. I did not use the Orton Effect on this photo. Adjustments were made to the contrast and layers were blended, in Photoshop CS, to give it this look.
