Jimmy took this photo last weekend at Lion Lake, Montana. We stood in the freezing rain, Saturday evening, for an hour while he worked to capture a raindrop landing on the lake. He achieved the effect in this photo by setting the camera on the ground at the edge of the lake and setting it to full zoom, in order to get the focus on the the middle of the image.
Please take the time to look at this in full view, so you can see the individual raindrops and the splash in more detail.
Taken with a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS camera, by James M. Emerson. The only postprocessing done was levels adjustment in Photoshop CS.
