Jimmy, took this photo of Tidbit, the sister to our cats, who seem to have an affinity for water. Tidbit’s brothers and sister try to help me wash dishes too. Tidbit’s owner tried to turn the water on, to discourage her from taking up the bathroom sink, but she used the opportunity to groom herself.
Tidbit is one of the kittens of the pregnant stray that we took in. Fortunately, we found homes for the mother and all but two of the kittens. We decided to keep those two.

How funny. I used to have a cat who would go fishing with me when I was a kid. We would take turns catching the fish in the creek by my house and then go home. :o) Great capture.
That must have been nice. Water is so contrary to most cats’ nature. We had an orange tabby once who loved to ride in cars. We tried to leave him at home on time and he jumped on the hood of the car, as we were leaving. We had to pull over to the side of the highway and let him in the car.

So funny, great capture.
Thanks, Rosalie! I think of cats as little clowns that were given to us to make life more joyful.

How unusual – mind drinks out of the swimming pool even thought there is always water for nim in the house -he must like chlorine
I can’t imagine why he’d like the taste of chlorine. I have to buy bottled water to drink because our tap water tastes to foul. Our cats would rather drink out of the toilet than their fresh water bowl, for some reason. Their favorite drinking spot is the can of water that my husband uses to clean his rocks. They must have different taste buds than humans.

LOl That is one special cat! :)
For some reason, the entire family loves water. They swarm in the bathroom, trying to get to the toilet. We have to keep the bathroom door closed because the cats have fallen in the toilet before.

Thank you! This was Jimmy’s photo. His girlfriend has a Canon camera. I’ve been wanting one like it for a long time. Canon seems to be truest to color and I love the detail in their photos.

What a funny coincidence! My son has a cat that looks almost exactly like this and she loves the bathroom sink!! lol…..
There must be something about the tortoiseshell breed. This one’s sister is the one who liked to help me wash dishes. She liked to stick her paw under the running water when I rinsed them. I’d put her down off the counter and she’d jump back up again.

That’s one of the reasons we keep our cats indoors. We have a problem with mountain lions. Fortunately, bears don’t often come into town, but it’s happened before. The mountain lions have been known to go after pets though. It makes me nervous that Tidbit is kept outside most of the time. I worry about cars too.
