11/12/11 – Featured in the RAIN! THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY Group.

This was taken near our home in Columbia Falls, Montana (USA). There are still a few farms left in the Flathead Valley, but they are being sold and torn down as the value of land skyrockets. All the wealthy people building vacation homes in this area have caused land taxes to increase so much that the family farms cannot afford to stay in business. Shaun and I decided that we should capture as many of them as we could in photographs, before they have all disappeared.

I took this on a stormy day last Spring, and am uploading it for the Best Photo of Farming Equipment challenge in the A Little Bit Country! group.

Nice sentiment behind the capture, I appreciate that. That must have been a ripper of a storm, look at the colour in that cloud! WOW! I know storms are devastating, but gee they can also be beautiful. Congrats

    xx

  • Thank you very much, Isabel! I’m honored that you chose this.
