This photo is straight out of the camera.

This is probably my favorite picture that Shaun has taken. We were across the Columbia River from Vantage, Washington (USA), at the overlook by the highway.

This scene looks across at the Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park. The area has a lot of petrified trees, with a long trail you can hike and take pictures.

The Columbia River cut a gigantic gorge through the Columbia (basalt) Plateau when Glacial Lake Missoula melted suddenly. This shows the tremendous power of water.

Photographed by Shaun P. Emerson. No use of any kind allowed without written permission.
