Avalanche Falls Walkbridge by rocamiadesign

Currently unavailable for purchase

Taken on the Avalanche Gorge Trail in Glacier National Park. This bridge crosses Avalanche Creek just below the waterfall. It’s a beautiful walk through the huge cedars, a trail I highly recommend to anybody. The falls are not much more than a trickle now. When they were first named, the title was probably more fitting. The glaciers of Glacier Park have receded quite a bit since the park’s inception. If you really feel up to the extra exercise, you can continue on the trail to Avalanche Lake.
