Thomas Turner's Dwelling Places by robyn nuttall

Thomas Turner's Dwelling Places by

This is a water colour /collage work on water colour paper.
It refers to an ancestor of mine-Thomas Turner who came to Western Australia in 1830 and settled with his parents and brothers and sisters in Augusta.
He later left and settled in Victoria —he was an architect and surveyor and lived and worked at Taradale and in WesternVictoria.
The painting shows a number of different locations he lived in and one or the churches he designed (Church of England, Taradale).

Love this painting! It reminds me of cubism with a twist of Imants Tiller. The layers create great depth!

Stunning and well composed work; I love the use of geometrics in art; they lend such wonderful depth and dimension; well balanced, with perfect color, tones, amazing textures by use of text….This is an awesome presentation…the history is terrific.
