Death of a Father

I never thought in a million years I would witness some die in my own arms. I was the only family member out of the 8 of us who was there to witness it. It was an eternal scar in my heart. May he rest in peace…...

i know that had to be tough, but for your Dad I sure it was comforting to know you were there. He watch you come into this world and you were the last one he saw. Glad he didn’t have to past alone. It will get better my friend. God Bless

Susan I wish I was there for my moms passing too it’s been almost 32 years and I still cant believe it. At least with my Dad I was there. I wasnt there for my brothers passing so that one really kills me since we were reallly close. Thanks for your comment

Alison I tell you the most scariest part of my dads passing was when I left the Hospice home that night I felt someone grab me by my elbow and as I turned to look who it was there was nobody there. Thanks for the comment

Scariest Rob? Or was it your father’s touch to let you know he had not really left you? Be comforted by that.

Wow Alison I think that may be true but maybe my father was showing me that I could be next or that he could do things faster then he did before he died.???

Rocket thats so true my cousin works in the cancer ward of the hospital and see patience die every day but when it’s your own family it takes on a whole new meaning.

That he could do things faster now, definite possibilty. Not you next though, that is something those on the other side would never do, of that I am sure. When your time comes, then you will see him waiting for you with open arms, and you will not be afraid

How wonderful that you were there for him in his our of need, to answer his concerns and show him love and comfort in his last moments…....don’t let this be a scar on your heart…..let it be a joy that you were there for him when he needed you the most and I am sure…..positive…..that he is there for you when you need him from the other side. A beautiful piece …...so heartfelt and full of love.
