I just want to say that I have come to the conclusion that in my life my family is just a title. Upon the death of my father my family accused me of robbing my dad of his money (when my oldest brother wrote all the checks and had his credit card) They also accused me of being on crystal meth wich totally shocked me and left my brain sping in circles. That last bad thing I put into my body was a cigarrette about 3 years ago. My oldest sister (who promised me she would help me find a place to stay accused me of trying to scam her of the little bit of money she had) Now this is soooooo strange to me. Why on earth are they saying and trying to defame my name when all I ever did for my dad was to help him everyday till his last dying breath???? The day my dad died everyone turned there back on me as if to say we dont know you. I’m still in total shock. I dont know what to think of my family anymore. They were more concerned with what my dad left behind then actually shedding any tears for him. :( It’s very saddening to me. Yet my friends already offered me a Job back in NJ a truck was giving to me to restart my own business and I was also givin a place to live. EXPLAIN THAT?

Unfortunately this is a familiar story to many people, Rob. My friend’s mother died last year. Her poor mother’s body was still at the morgue when the sister went to the mother’s house and took everything of value that wasn’t nailed down. The contents of the house, jewelry, keepsakes, and coin collections were supposed to go to my friend per the will. Then the sister accuses my friend of being crazy and greedy when she asked for an accounting for the property.
Money (even a little bit) makes people do crazy things. I’m sorry you have to go through this.

Even family can be toxic !! Place your trust in your Higher Power to put what you need in your life. This to will pass.

I’ve had a similar experience with so called family three years ago, when my father passed away. Becuase I didn’t want to discuss the ins and outs of my parents will they got shitty. 8 months passed and they didn’t have the decency to call me when my grandmother passed away. So I understand the hurt and the betrayal.

Grief, greed and money do strange things to people. Unfortunately at times family is one thing we can’t choose in life. Believe in yourself and go and start afresh and get on with your life, your friends have given you this opportunity, you are very fortunate and blessed. Don’t ever try and figure out families it will send you insane. Just remember “what goes around comes around” and we are all answerable for our actions one day.
