Krabi Coast Longtail

Krabi Coast Longtail

I started working on this image. hdr’ing 3 shots, when the tones came out all weird…well weird, but I like it…!!
It was in fact getting quite dark while taking the shots, so the atmosphere is true to form….Taken along the Krabi Coastline, (Thailand), at low, low tide…The longtail boats all lined up ready for service when the next day dawns.
A fairly memorable shot for me, I can still here the prayer songs echoing along the quiet shoreline, the sun setting behind the Railay Peninsula in the background.
thanks for looking….cheers, Rob.

Beautiful rob – Krabi is beautiful isnt it – where else did you go – did you manage a visit to Chang Mai and the River Kwai?

  • Robert Mullner replied

Hi Julie, we mainly did the Nth. Andaman Coastline from Phuket, then Krabi, Railay and Phi Phi..I’ve heard that Chang Mai is a brilliant destination as well…thanks for the comments, cheers, Rob.

  • Robert Mullner replied

Thanks there Andreas…yes I got the d300 becomming happier and happier with it as time goes on….I sold my d200 to my mate…well I’ve still got to get the sensor cleaned for him…it’s still a beast of a camera as well…
    cheers, Rob.

  • Andy Mueller

    Andy Mueller

Congrats to the D300 …. Big learning curve or jumped pretty much right into it?

  • Robert Mullner replied

It’s pretty much like the d200, menu systems and functions, with the exception of live view and that awesome big screen…The processing is totally different though, one that I’ve a couple of days getting used to…also have to upgrade raw converters and what not as nothing worked with the new 14 bit raw files…cheers, Rob.
