It was an amazing bird, only about 6 inches high, but quite happy for you to get up as close as you wanted. If I could take it again, I’d go for more depth of field to get the eyes sharper.

i have been to the BWC and he is always sitting on the conifers. sometimes he ventures out to the branch, when he feels no one is looking. So you have been very lucky.
