This is the first piece I ever completed that exists mostly for the imagery in it. I think it’s too small to really see the things; there aren’t that many and I didn’t know if anyone would be interested enough to look so I didn’t do those wonderful detail panels that you do.
I’m still finding my way with all of this….
The larger head has a “halo” around it, the smaller one has metal and angles instead; some of the eyes are flanked by gritty wings…the wood and repetitive bar patterns are like gates…stuff like that. I enjoyed constructing this and using the red and turquoise together. They just fight so hard for my eyes!

It’s that time of year…reflections on what’s gone before, wondering about what’s to come…..and always the curiosity about the “why’s” of this world….....there’s so much about angels lately in the news and in art; I never thought much about them before; thought I’d toss my opinion into the ring!
