This is Loch Ness from Fort Augustus. The loch is so long and the Great Glen Fault so straight that it may well be the only loch/lake in Britain that you can not see the end of due to the curvature of the Earth…..this picture captures it somewhat, but on a clear day you can see a mirage effect where the sky meets the loch.
