Mating Flies (1) !

I captured these mating flies in the backyard this afternoon. After snapping a few pix, they would fly away, still attached to each other and land in a new spot. I”m not sure which spot I liked best ,so I am posting Mating Flies (1), (2), & (3). Which one do you like best ?

All three are simply wonderful macro portraits, Rob, with extraordinary clarity and detail. This is the best study of the flies, but I like the bright colours in number 2. They’re all superb!

    when you say ,

    ” ...so I am posting Mating Flies…”

I am just dying to know what you did with the images you took of the “mating flies”

...and how you , may i say, ask, “fused them together … ???”

  • robkal

    Karon,

You are NOT insulting me with your question. There was truly NO fusing together of any pictures. What you see here is exactly what I saw. These 3 mating fly pics were taken within a few minutes of each other and within a few feet of each other. As I mentioned, after a few pics, they flew away still attached to each other, to the next flower and then again to yet another flower. I posted all 3 pics because I couldn’t decide which one I liked the most . I hope this answers your question. Thanks so much for your comments! Rob
