Derelict Window

I am intrigued by old derelict buildings, as I believe they still hang on to the stories and memories of past families who lived there. Although the people have gone, the remnants still stand as a monument to the past.

    Graeme Pettit ...

This is either an optical illusion, a good find, or clever post production, and I can’t tell which – either way, I like it. So far as I can tell, a section of outer wall has been demolished, an inner wall with breather and frame exposed, the roof gone, and weeds taken over. This leads the eye to the next wall and frame back, then through to the next…....thats how I see it. Either way, its brilliant, as it makes me keep looking at it to get my head around it…...

HI GraemesDesigns. This was shot as found, without any clever post production. Your other assumptions are correct. I postioned the camera to get a frame within a frame situation and used a zoom lens to compress the the planes within the image, which results in the optical illusion. Thanks for your intersting comment!
