Great shot, I agree with Daniel Barrie, it does look like a red velvet dress.
Did it take you a bit of work to get the shot set up how you wanted it?

It took me quite a while to have the effect that I was looking for. I had 1 hour until the train was due to arrive so I had plenty of time

Stunning image and amazing effect. What sort of exposures were used?
Robin de Blanche replied
don’t remember exactly but it was a couple 1 & 2 secs and around there. That’s why I needed around 10 to manage setup it up.
Thank god for CS4 to blend the rest :)

an excellent effect – very striking and inventive (thanks for the ‘behind the scenes/making of, too!)

:). When there’s more than just a shot behind it’s fun to tell the story to let the art itself get as much depth it can.

Is this shot in a station on the red line – stockholm Subway? I thought this could be Sweden, recongnise the hand railings. Cool poster man! Simple idea but yet stunning result! Did Photoshop the red line or did You use a guy painted in red to walk up the stairs fast and with long shutter time?

Ps. (Feel free to check out my stuff if You have the time) 8)
Andreas Bengter
Did u photoshop*
Robin de Blanche replied
Glad you like it. No it’s not in Stockholm. As written in the description it’s taken at Mjölby train station.
Photoshop is used here to merge together all the multiple exposures nicely and smoothen out so it overlaps nicely.

I had some trouble at first finding the right position of the perspective since I coulden’t “just take another straight shot of a staircase”. This is where the run with the red shirt came in the picture.
