    From first light of day, to the sun’s last glance
    Brine babies at play will surely entrance.
    They flick their little tails, glide with schools of clowns
    Picking every kelpy flower, making pretty crowns
    Basking on the sand in a tepid rocky pool
    Diving back into the sea, wind is blowing cool.
    They gather up the jewels from the ocean bed
    Place them all in a row, glittering gold and red.
    As the sun is sinking low their mothers call their names.
    It’s time to say goodbye for now, time to finish games.
    Tired and happy, sleepy, from their day of fun
    A gentle kiss from mother, a perfect day is done.
