Deep Blue

I once had a vision of you, with me in my life,
But life can at times be so full of strife,
Leaving one’s dreams tattered and torn,
The beleaguered lover, sad and forlorn,
The loss of a love, so desperately sought,
Withers my heart from me she had caught,
But the heart now lies broken, cracked in two,
And living has changed from pink to deep blue,
With realisation the misery came,
Of thoughts of the future shot down in flames,
Happiness, lost, so hard to find,
Oh why is it love can be so unkind?
