Rob Holcomb

Morgan Hill, United States

Growing up I was exposed to a diverse array of actual and imagined events; fine arts, rodeo rope artists and other odd-ball experts in sculpture. As a youngster in Montana I had an eye for capturing imagery whether it was a cold morning along the Yellowstone River or a quiet day exploring glaciers in Alaska. While in high-school I seemed to always have a camera in my hand. Photographs of mine have appeared in various campus arts magazines as his first public exposure. I’ve developed dark room talents and learned to manipulate and print both color and B&W film.

As a professional I enjoy travel and photography, two interests that go together perfectly. My travels have covered the North Cascades of Washington, the Boundary Waters of Minnesota and parts of Europe, Mexico and the Middle East.

My Death Valley/Eastern Sierras book

Baja Mexico Road Trip! Camping on the Sea of Cortez.

I have continued to develop talents in imagery, learning such techniques as cyano-type, Van Dyke, and Polaroid. This allows a much wider range of images for expressing the feel of my subjects or evoking the feel of the landscape I’m capturing. If you are willing I am able to bring an event to life that might otherwise be a mundane event.
