Great Gable from Wast Water

Great Gable from Wast Water

I was hoping for some reflections in the lake but frustratingly* it was all ruffled! I found these rocks to cover the spot where the reflections would be!

*
I say frustratingly because there was not a breath of wind and it was very misty. Not at all like the weather forecast the night before! I’d set off from home at 4.30am arriving at Wasdale at 7.30am just as the sun rose! I then left to meet up with Alan (Tall Guy) near Loweswater.

Thanks everyone, this was voted Britains favorite view. The view not my picture! It certainly has some grand scenery. This is Englands deepest lake and off to the right (out of shot) is Englands highest mountain (Scafell Pike).
    PS
I never saw any fairies today :-)

May be no fairies but is that a water nymph under the tree?
they stir up the waterways in the mornings :o)
This inspires me none the less thanks Robert ~ adg

Despite your frustration it’s a beautiful picture. I’m not completely sure (have had a glass of sauvignon blanc) but I think that fairy flitted off into the trees on the left as the image came up on my screen.

I don’t think i would have liked this image so much with reflections. So many of us shoot here, its interesting to see the results. Yours stands out from the rest, nice one.

Who needs reflections when you have a shot like this. Smashing.
