Uldale Force, River Rawthey and a Tall Guy!
Met up with Alan (Tall Guy) and we had a saunter up Uldale to visit Uldale Force. You can see Alan, with camera and (in typical English fashion) a brolley. We had a great time scrambling up and down the steep ravine. The weather was dull, grey and misty most of the time. I feel this captures the spirit of the day.

Nice capture Robert.

The layers within this image are stunning and give it great depth and atmosphere. I like the inclusion of the photographer too as it gives scale to the waterfalls. Another wonderful image Robert

Tina,
he told me to get in shot.. we’d been using the brolly to stop water getting on the camera lenses.. I did feel a wally, but it was all done in fun.. lol.
Great shot Rob, I don’t think mine have come out anywhere as near as good as this.. but what can you expect.. with you having me as a model :-)

Cheers everyone, thanks for looking in.
Tina, don’t you believe him :-) some people will do anything to get their picture taken (just kidding)! It was all pre-planned.
LocoCow, yes and he makes a great umbrella holder :-)
Alan, you made a great human interest subject :-) I’m looking forward to seeing your shots from `the other side’.

stunning..
Peter Zentjens
The guy in the picture really gives it perspective. My wive often wants someone in the shot, just to give a feeling of size. ;)
But what I like best, besides the excellent composition, is the waterfalls color. Very nice.
Hazel
He looks short on that. Gorgeous photo.
Martin Mullen

Charlene Aycoc...
wow love the layers what settings did u use to take this
Robert Hardy replied
Hi Charlene, sorry for this late reply, I just noticed your query!
It was f/16 @ 3/4 sec, ISO 50. Shot in RAW with a Canon EOS 5D, the RAW was tone mapped (subtly) in `Dynamic Photo HDR’ software then tweaked for levels in Photoshop. Hope that helps :-)
handprintz
wow great shot
