This photo was taken with my Canon EOS 50D and a Canon 18-200 mm lens with a circular polarizing filter. Jemez Lake is a very small patch of water in the center of the Valles Grande. The Valles Grande is the largest valley in the Valles Caldera National Preseve. The Caldera is classified as a Super Volcano and it is located in north central New Mexico – just a few miles west of Los Alamos.

Bob Kelch is a retired pediatrician and health care administrator who now has the time he wants to devote to his passion, photography. He lives near the Lake Michigan shore in South Haven, Michigan.
