Battle-scarred King by Robert Kelch, M.D.
Clear

I took this photo in Kenya while on an African photographic safari in 1993. The original shot was made using Kodak ektachrome slide film. I recently digitized the slide and I used Lightroom 5 to edit and convert to black and white. We were in a jeep-like vehicle and we were able to get very close to this beautiful, but battle-scarred lion. I used an Olympus SLR with a 200 mm lens.
