Kirkbride Marsh- Solway Plain, Cumbria by

Acrylic on 3D Canvas 24″ × 30″. The River Wampool (out of sight to the left of this picture) wanders through this landscape towards the Solway Firth. At this point the river is tidal – when the river is full and the tide high, these marshes flood. This area is a paradise for bird watchers. Not far away is the beginning – or end – of the Hadrian’s Wall Walk.
