Watercolor. This is my interpretation of an old early turn of the century photo of Tewksbury that I found of this beautiful city in the heart of England. The high street in late afternoon as the sun settlesn behind the town creating a sepia haze. It is summer in a time when life was slower, world war one is over and the monument on the corner attests to this..
This 12X16 watercolor on 140 lb Arches paper, using Grumbacher premium W/C paints and russian Sable brushes. I employed a wet on wet technique with several glazes and drybrush to complete.
