Centrifugal Form (Oil Pastels)-

This is a smaller work produced with oil pastels on paper. It depicts the expressively implied human form, which is abstracted from the center of the composition. I used a simple complimentary color scheme, and a secondary color to fill some of the negative spaces. This piece conveys a beauty within the expanding and distorted physical form. I really like the expression and emotion behind the coloration and the “movement” of the subject. I would like to work on a few larger scaled paintings of similar style and imagery. The dimensions of the original work are 6in. X 7.5in. It was produced in 2002.
