The Dream to Fly (Mixed Media)-

This is a mixed media assemblage that was produced on paper. Some of my original photos are arranged around the pencil drawing of the male figure. Some areas were then painted with acrylics and with ink washes. Three feathers are also glued onto the surface of the paper, accenting the overall composition and also enhancing the theme. One of the feathers was actually used to layout some of the composition with india ink, so the subject and the media became one. The original dimensions are 14in. X 11in. It was initiated a few years back and was recently completed in 2008.
