Zen Sunrise (Illustration)-

This is an illustration piece that was created with black ink and watercolor pencils on paper. It has an interesting depth within the face, from the lotuses, to the trees, to the sunrise in the forehead. There is some celtic knot work, and use of symbiotic lines. I enjoy the earth and moon imagery which is incorporated within the ears, and how they balance the center of the image. It was an entrancing and methodical work to finish. It was created in 2007.
