When She Revealed Her Spirit (Mixed Media Acrylics)-
This is a mixed media painting, initiated from a life study painting, produced on paper, then translated to a gessoed illustration board. The figure was cut apart and rearranged, then the resulting spaces were painted to compliment the initial form of the figure, and to create a unique composition. The woman is expressively posing, and “opening up”, like a flower blossom. I enjoyed the overall process of this piece, and the amazing movement of the form, the bright coloration, as well as the degree of depth within the simple design. The dimensions of the painting are 26in. X 20in. It was started a few years ago and cut up, then recently finished in 2008.

Yes I did enjoy reading about the process. I didn’t know that’s how you do it (though I imagine there are mnay ways) ..and I’m going to try it myself. I had joined the Cubism group because I am quite fascinated by the style, but had no idea how to go about it…so, once again, I have learned something from you.
