Hi and welcome,
For twenty years or more I only used an Olympus OM1 and some of my older images here are scanned black and white negatives or transparency film. I now brave the complex world of digital cameras with a little Canon G9. Although it might not have the capacity or quality of a DSLR and I miss looking through the lens to compose, I enjoy it for its tiny pocket-size and the freedom just to ‘play’ with the camera without wasting film. I use it almost exclusively in manual mode.
I lived and worked in Cambodia for a number of years and have a passion for the architecture and icons of Buddhism. For me, pervading the crowds and pollution and noise of Asia lies a cultural sensuality that is irresistible.
I guess I’d have to say I like images that capture a stillness, that slow you down and invite you to reflect. And also documentary and photo essays, which I find allow you your own time to find the story and speak to you.
Thanks for clicking your way to my site and I hope you can find something in some of these images that speaks to you to.
