Photo of the Pentecost River crossing on the Gibb River Road in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
The lean on the trees is a result of the volume of water that flows during the wet season.
The crossing is 60 metres in length and the depth varied from 30 cm to over 70 cm. It’s generally ok, however it’s not a place to get stuck as this area of the river is known to have Saltwater Crocodiles just waiting to dine on unsuspecting tourist.
