Originally from Leicester I have lived in Hertfordshire for the last thirty years. My main interest in photography is landscape work, which I have developed out of a lifelong fondness for hill-walking, particularly in the English Lake District, but all over the British Isles and continental Europe. Since taking early retirement three years ago I’ve found time to develop my photographic skills, in particular by learning from a group of contacts on photo sharing websites.
My icon is a self portrait – a reflection of myself in the window of a ski station high in the Swiss Alps above Vercorin in the Val d’Anniviers.
