Great Auroras on september 22, 2011, in the arctic parts of Norway.
Hillesoy island, just outside Tromso, Norway.
After a long trip lasting from 6 pm to 3 am, the scenery was crowned with a great Aurora display. A little bit tricky with all the light from the moon. To the left is the faint remains of the sunset.
Still great temperature in the arctic, with 10+ degrees C in the middle of the night. It has been raining for several days. I wonder if this is the reason the sky looks very crisp and clear…
