In a small pond by the sea the Aurora Borealis or north light shows a great reflection.
Picture taken on April 6th 2011 at Hillesøy island just outside Tromsø, Norway. The winter is slowly letting go, and spring is approaching. But still there’s plenty of snow in the mountains.
Picture was taken at 10:30 in the evening. At this latitude the sun is shining all 24 hours of the day during the summertime, (midnight sun). This time of year is rapidly coming, and this is why we still can see the remains of the sunset.
Canon EOS 7D, with Tokina 11-16 mm /f2.8
