Aurora Borealis - Towards Grytoya island-2 by

Picture taken on feb 21th 2011, using a Canon EOS 7D and Tokina 11-16 f/2.8.
8 seconds at ISO 800 with aperture f/2.8
This picture was taken at a small place called Elgsnes, just outside the city of Harstad, Norway.
Towards is the island of Grytøya
Beatiful weather and clear sky made this a great time. The top of the mountains is starting to illuminate by the rising moon.
The aurora was so bright, it’s reflection shows in the small water pits

Oh God, I wish I could capture this. Although I would set it on bulb and get a lot of noise in the picture, and my stars would probably move. Still learning how to get some of these shots. Any suggestions? This is going in my favs.
