Robin Whalley

Robin Whalley is a self taught photographic artist and a relative latecomer to Photography. His work has been published in a number of the UK Photographic and Outdoor Leisure magazines. He has also enjoyed success in major photographic competitions such as Photographer of the Year and Landscape Photographer of the Year. His interest with photography started with photographing landscapes. More recently he has taken his work in a new artistic direction to provide an interesting slant on “classic images”.

Unlike many photographers Robin works with both colour and black and white, shooting with both film and digital. His workflow however is wholly digital as it provides him with the necessary level of artistic freedom to express his vision.

Now living in Saddleworth on the West Yorkshire/Lancashire boarder of England, Robin is inspired by the industrial scenery of the North West of England and the rugged beauty of the Cumbrian Lake District where he spends much of his free time, walking with his wife.
