I have the hardest time trying to name some of my work. Over half my work isn’t in any of my gallieres because I can’t seam to name the darn things. I hate just numbering them abstract 1 abstract 20. Does anyone else have this problem. I’m just afrade that I’ll end up giving them sucky names. Mabe I should have an abstract naming party. lol

sometimes I have that problem… but I usually just name it what I see or feel when I look at the art or what I felt when I started painting it. Like.. say your boyfriend breaks up with you.. you’re upset so you start painting or whatever you could name is like… saddest moment, heartbreak at midnight, alone once again, lol, bad example but I hope you get what I mean!! :)

I have that problem sometimes, especially when I do one spur of the moment. I usually just name them the first thing that comes to my mind. Besides, they’re abstracts, if the name is odd, who’s to say it’s wrong, lol :P.
If you have someone who’s opinion you trust, get them to look at it and then get their reaction or thoughts on it. A new point of view maybe just what you need. I get my hubby to help me out when I’m stuck, and I think my son named one once. They usually end up giving me some pretty good names.
