I heard on TV that in order to pay off the national debt, each citizen of the US would have to pay $30,000. Cutting down on Government spending could probably take care of that and provide healthcare for each citizen, plus develope our own environmentally friendly energy sources to boot…the amount of money spent on the presidential campaign alone could probably prevent all the housing forclosures if they put it to better use…
and just watch how much these political parties who “care” so much about the citizenry spend on their obscene conventions and associated parties….Mark Twain was right.
